A "corn plant" in our center gallery started this stalk of fragrant jasmine-smelling blossoms (May, 17, 2012) that open in late afternoon and fill the gallery with the most beautiful scent.  We hope you got to see (and smell!) the very rare display!

Corn
                                plant in the center gallery
Wow!  These blossoms grew super fast from a stalk that magically appeared from one of the "corn plants" in the center gallery in late December, 2011.  Some say the blossoms (which open in late afternoon and close after a few hours)  appear once every 10 or 20 years and bring luck.   This is the first time we've seen this plant flower!  The jasmine fragrance is beautiful!

Bailey Community Center Kids walked to Saper Galleries July 26, 2006 to learn about the various art media that artists are making today!  And we enjoyed their enthusiasm and interest!  The students are seated in the east gallery in front of the newly arrived paintings by Eric Waugh.  The students also enjoyed the magic realism of Rob Gonsalves!
