Picasso created very few lithographs in the period 1919 to 1930 and
most were very linear like his early etchings. Of the hundreds of
lithographs Picasso drew, most were from the period 1945 and
after. This lithograph is one of only 4 that were created in 1924
and the 18th lithograph the artist made ever. In later years he
would create 3 or 4 in a single day.
Between 1922 and 1924 Picasso created 758 works of art.
At the time this lithograph was created he had been enjoying family
life with Olga (who he married in 1918) and son Paulo.
was printed in an edition of 50 and signed by the artist. The
printer was Charlot Frères and publisher was Galeries Simon.
